Turkey Veggie Burger

Ingredients 

  • 3 Cups Lentils or Beans, Cooked
  • 1 Cup Bell Pepper Finely chopped
  • 1 Small Red Onion Chopped
  • 1 Pound Turkey Ground
  • 1 Egg Optional
  • 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Onion Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Parsley Dried
  • Cooking Spray
  • Cheese Optional, to serve on burgers
  • Lettuce Optional, to serve on burgers
  • Tomato Optional, to serve on burgers
  • Onion Optional, to serve on burgers
  • Burger Buns Optional, toasted

  • Frying Pan

Instructions

  • Roughly mash the lentils or beans. Place in a large bowl, mix in the bell pepper, onion, spices and turkey. (Optional: Add an egg to better hold the mix together).
  • Season with salt and pepper, form into 8 patties, spray pan with cooking oil
  • Cook patties over medium-high heat until dark brown on one side, then flip and do the same on the other side
  • Optional: top the patties with cheese, serve on toasted buns with lettuce, onion, tomato
