Taco Soup

On a cold day make this easy Taco Soup recipe in a slow cooker or on the stovetop.

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound Ground Beef Or ground turkey
  • 1 Onion
  • 16 ounces Chili Beans
  • 15 ounces Kidney Beans
  • 15 ounces Corn No-salt added
  • 16 ounces Tomato Sauce No-salt added
  • 28 ounces Diced Tomatoes No-salt added
  • 4 ounces Green Chili Pepper
  • 1 cup Water
  • 4 cups Beef Broth Low-sodium
  • 2 Tbsp Taco Seasoning

Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • Medium Skillet

Instructions

  • Wash hands with soap and water.
  • Put meat in a medium skillet. Wash hands after touching raw meats.
  • Cook the meat over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.
  • While the meat cooks, chop the onion.
  • Place the ground cooked and drained meat, onion, chili beans, kidney beans, corn, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, water, green chili peppers, beef broth and taco seasoning mix in a slow cooker. Mix to blend.
  • Cook on low setting for eight hours.

Notes
