Rutabaga Fries
Use leftover rutabaga to create these rutabaga fries. Healthy, vegan, and gluten-free, they are also a great alternative to the same old sweet potato fries.
Ingredients
- 1 Rutabaga Small, skin removed
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ¼ teaspoon Oregano Dried
- ¼ teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
Equipment
- Oven
- Vegetable Peeler
- Baking Sheet
- Parchment Paper
- Large Bowl
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the rutabaga in half and then cut into fries.
- Add 1 Tablespoon olive oil to a large bowl and toss rutabaga until evenly coated.
- Add spices and toss again.
- Transfer to baking sheet and spread out evenly so no fries overlap.
- Place into oven and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and flip. Continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, or until desired consistency is reached.
- Remove from oven and serve immediately.
