Baked Plantain Chips
Enjoy the crunch of regular chips with a healthier twist. Baked Plantain Chips are just as crispy, packed with vitamins, and nutritious.
Ingredients
- 1 Plantain
- 1½ Tablespoons Olive Oil
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

- Baking Sheet
- Parchment Paper
- Knife
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Peel the plantain and cut into thin slices.
- In a bowl, toss plantain slices with olive oil, salt, and cayenne pepper until well mixed.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place chips in a single layer.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping once halfway through at about 8 minutes.
- Plantain chips are done when they start to brown around the edges. Remove and serve. They are best served warm but can be cooled on a paper towel and will keep up to one day.
