The Super Bowl is more than just a game between the National Football League’s premier franchises—it’s a time for friends and family to gather. As everyone settles in around the television, an array of snack foods is often within easy reach. Super Bowl snacks tend to be high in calories, fried, and lacking in nutritional value. On top of that, hours spent on the couch make it easy to consume more than expected.
That doesn’t mean snacks need to be eliminated altogether. Party hosts can make simple recipe substitutions for healthier options. The best part? These snacks are so delicious that guests won’t even miss the high-fat, greasy Super Bowl staples.

mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce

Is melted cheese your thing? Try these baked mozzarella sticks instead of the fried version.

Spicy white bean dip in a yellow bowl with bright orange carrots and lime green celery

Love chips and dip? Try this white bean dip with homemade tortilla chips—so good! It also pairs well with veggies.

Buffalo cauliflower wings on a black plate

Who doesn’t love buffalo wings with blue cheese dip? This version swaps chicken for cauliflower, and the wings are baked and served with a Greek yogurt blue cheese dip.
