Baked Acorn Squash and Apples

This warm, sweet and savory dish is a must try!

Ingredients 

  • 1 Acorn Squash
  • 2 Apples
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Butter Or margarine; melted
  • ½ Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • Non-Stick Cooking Spray

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking Pan
  • Medium Bowl

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and spray pan with cooking spray.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together chopped apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  • Cut squash in half and scoop out seeds.
  • Place squash cut side down and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Remove squash from oven, turn squash right side up, and fill each half with apple mixture.
  • Bake for another 20 minutes, or until squash is tender.
